The Early Chapters of Revelation, un recopilatorio de los tres primeros albumes de la banda sueca Therion. Siendo su epoca más apegada al Death Metal pero ya desde su primera producción presentando una idea innovadora, integrando elementos sinfónicos, vanguardistas y progresivos.

Of Darkness... (1991)

Originalmente grabado en 1991, Of Darkness... es una obra maestra realizda por los suecos cuando tenían 18 años. (Hacen sentir a uno bastante inútil!) Death Metal clásico con elementos técnicos y progresivos. Un ambiente completamente distinto; oscuro, 'disciplinado', lleno de misticismo y fuerza espiritual. Desde entonces, Therion ya pintaba para ser un titán en la cultura del metal.

"This was our debut album, consisting of songs written during the eighties. I was bareley 18 years old when we recorded this album and I must say I am still proud we managed to pull this album together - it was recorded and mixed in onnly 6 days! At this time there were no such things as computer controlled mix, so I recall the funny scenes of half of the band pressing effect buttons and moving faders with our hands and having to start from the beginning again when someone fucked up at aby of the parts..." - Christofer Johnsson, September 2000.

Beyond Sanctorum (1992)Segundo album. Adentrandose en la escena gótica, Therion toma un camino nuevo que recien daba frutos en aquellos años. Integrando ritmos más lentos pero llenos de un ambiente sinfónico, más y más adentrandose al género del que luego serían dueños. Resalta el tema "Pandemonic Outbreak", muy recomendado.

Tercer album de la banda sueca. En este disco se da el cambio base en el futuro (ahora historia) de Therion, mostrando un lado más avant-garde, experimentando con sinfonías y atmosferas nuevas, adaptando temas de magia negra, de ahi su titulo "Ho Drakon Ho Megas". MUY RECOMENDADO!
